Contours of Beauty

This piece, titled Contours of Beauty, is a study in symmetry and precision. Using the grid method, I recreated half of a face to complete an existing image, focusing on translating each square from photograph to drawing with accuracy. By isolating and drawing each detail square-by-square, I aimed to capture both the elegance and individuality of the subject’s features. This exercise not only challenged my observational skills but also taught me how to approach drawing in a structured, methodical way. The resulting image highlights both the simplicity of the grid and the complexity of human expression.
