Crowned In Color (Color Wheel)

I created this piece to honor the beauty and strength of Black women. I wanted to show our features-our hair, our face, our presence-with pride. The afro is shaped with colors from the color wheel to represent all that we carry: love, power, joy, growth, and softness. This piece is bold because we are bold. It's colorful because we are full of life. Black women are deserving of it all, and I want this piece to remind people of that.
